Wednesday, April 8, 2026🌍 Organization: African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) 📅 Deadline: 17 April 2026 AFIDEP, a leading regional policy institute, is seeking a seasoned Communications & Policy Engagement Manager to drive strategic communication, influence policy through evidence, and strengthen partnerships across Africa. 🎯 Role Overview This position leads the institute’s communications and policy engagement function, enhancing visibility, shaping public discourse, and ensuring research informs decision-making at the highest levels. 🛠️ Key Responsibilities Communications, Visibility & Influence Develop and execute communication and policy engagement strategies Strengthen brand positioning and institutional visibility Oversee publications: reports, newsletters, website, and social media Promote evidence use in health, education, governance, and climate change Build media relationships to support evidence-based dialogue Disseminate research to inform policy debates Partnerships & Resource Mobilisation Build and manage partnerships with governments, donors, and research bodies Engage stakeholders and research end-users Support proposal writing and fundraising efforts Capacity Strengthening Promote effective communication and evidence use in policymaking 🎓 Qualifications & Experience Master’s degree in Communications, Media, International Relations, or related field Minimum 10 years’ experience in development communications At least 3 years’ international experience Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills Proven experience in policy advocacy and influencing strategies Skills in publications design, digital platforms, and social media management Solid understanding of policy processes and research utilization Demonstrated ability to translate research into impactful advocacy Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills 📩 How to Apply Send the following to: recruitment@afidep.org: Motivation letter (include position title in subject line) Detailed CV with 3 referees ⚠️ Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
