POSITION: MARKET SWEEPER

Location: Boma, Mpamba, Chintheche, Mzenga, Kande, Usisya, and Tukombo

ABOUT Nkhata Bay District Council is inviting applications from energetic and dedicated individuals to fill the following temporary positions at various markets within Nkhata Bay.

POST: MARKET SWEEPER

DUTY STATION: Boma, Mpamba, Chintheche, Mzenga, Kande, Usisya, and Tukombo

SALARY: Within Malawi Government minimum wage Scale

DURATION: 6 Months (Renewable based on performance)

QUALIFICATION

Applicants must be holders of either Junior Certificate of Education. They must be not more than 35 years of old.

DUTIES

Regularly sweeping and washing common areas Collecting rubbish, emptying trash bins and transporting waste to disposal sites Maintaining and cleaning of tools such as floor scrubbers, sweepers and blooms Monitoring the area for hazards such as spills, broken pavements and reporting maintenance needs to supervisor Removing discarded items such as pallets and ensuring drains are clear of debris.
