DIPLOMA INTAKE FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC YEAR

The Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to enroll into 3-year non-residential Diploma programmes which are offered at Blantyre campus. All programmes will run during weekends and 2026/2027 academic year will commence on 1st August 2026.

The specific programme entry requirements are listed below:

SCHOOL OF BUILT ENVIRONMENT

1.Diploma in Quantity Surveying

MSCE/OLevel certificate with four credits including English, Mathematics, General Science/Physics or Chemistry

2.Diploma in Land Surveying

MSCE/OLevel with four credits including English, Mathematics, Geography, General Science/Physics or Chemistry

3.Diploma in Construction Management

MSCE/OLevel with four credits including English, Mathematics, Geography, General Science/Physics or Chemistry

4.Diploma in Construction Technology

MSCE/OLevel with four credits including English, Mathematics, Geography, General Science/Physics or Chemistry

SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

1. Diploma in Mining Engineering

MSCE/O Level certificate with four credits including English, Mathematics, Physical Science (Chemistry and Physics) or General Science

2. Diploma in Geological Engineering

MSCE/O Level certificate with four credits including English, Mathematics, Physical Science (Chemistry and Physics) or General Science

3. Diploma in Metallurgy and Mineral Processing

MSCE/O Level certificate with four credits including English, Mathematics, Physical Science (Chemistry and Physics) or General Science

4. Diploma in Electronics and Computer Engineering

MSCE/O Level certificate with four credits including English, Mathematics, Physical Science (Chemistry and Physics) or General Science

5. Diploma in Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering

MSCE/O Level certificate with four credits including English, Mathematics, Physical Science (Chemistry and Physics) or General Science

6. Diploma in Automobile Engineering

MSCE/O Level certificate with four credits including English, Mathematics, Physical Science (Chemistry and Physics) or General Science

7. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

MSCE/O Level certificate with four credits including English, Mathematics, Physical Science (Chemistry and Physics) or General Science

8. Diploma in Fabrication and Welding Engineering

MSCE/O Level certificate with four credits including English, Mathematics, Physical Science (Chemistry and Physics) or General Science

9. Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

MSCE/O Level certificate with four credits including English, Mathematics, Physical Science (Chemistry and Physics) or General Science

10. Diploma in Civil Engineering

MSCE/O Level certificate with four credits including English, Mathematics, Physical Science (Chemistry and Physics) or General Science

11. Diploma in Biomedical Engineering

MSCE or O-Level with credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics (or General Science/Physical Science).

SCHOOL OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

1. Diploma in Cybersecurity

MSCE/OLevel, GCSE, GCE, with at least four credits including English, Mathematics, Physical Science or General Science or Physics.

2. Diploma in Health Information Systems

MSCE/OLevel, GCSE, GCE, with at least four credits including English, Mathematics, Physical Science or General Science or Physics and a pass in Biology

3. Diploma in Industrial Laboratory Technology

MSCE or O level with credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics (or General Science/Physical Science)

Each programme will run only when adequate numbers of students are enrolled.

TUITION FEES PER ANNUM Tuition fees per annum is K400 000.00 (Four hundred thousand kwacha) however, you should note that these fees are subject to change anytime.
