š¢ Fully Funded Research Fellowship in Japan šÆšµ
Applications are now open for the UNESCO/Keizo Obuchi Research Fellowships Programme 2026, a prestigious fellowship established under the Japanese Funds-in-Trust to support young researchers and promote international academic collaboration in areas aligned with UNESCO's mandate.
Since its launch in 2001, the programme has supported 291 young researchers from 101 countries, helping strengthen research capacity and foster global knowledge exchange.
š Eligibility: Please check the list of eligible countries in the provided link. Among the list of eligible countries, Singapore and Timor-Leste from ASEAN are eligible to apply.
š° Fellowship Grant Selected fellows may receive up to US$10,000 to support their approved research stay in Japan. The grant may cover: āļø International and domestic travel šØ Accommodation 𩺠Medical insurance š½ļø Living expenses, including meals and local transportation š Eligible research-related expenses
ā The fellowship does not cover: ⢠Tuition fees ⢠Purchase of equipment (including computers) ⢠Publication costs ⢠Conference participation (unless it is an essential part of the approved research project)
