OVERVIEW

Serendib Hotels & Resorts invites applications from highly motivated and experienced individuals for the position of Human Resources Officer (HRO), based in Blantyre.

The successful candidate will oversee key human resource functions, providing generalist HR support while applying sound business and management skills to ensure effective employee management and compliance with Malawi's labour laws.

JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Officer will manage and support the organisation's human resource functions, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee relations, staff development, labour matters, and disciplinary processes.

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

General employee management.

Compensation and benefits administration.

Training and capacity development.

Employee relations management.

Staff recruitment and selection.

Handling labour-related issues.

Managing disciplinary matters.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Academic Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must possess the following:

A relevant degree from a recognised institution of higher learning.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a busy private organisation.

Must be at least 40 years of age.

Good knowledge of Malawi's labour laws.
