Monday, May 11, 2026The Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) is open to citizens of certain developing countries with relevant professional experience. This prestigious fully funded scholarship supports mid-career professionals from developing countries including Malawi to pursue a Master's degree at a World Bank-affiliated university. The program focuses on development-related fields and aims to build capacity of future leaders who will contribute to their countries' development. Indeed The scholarship covers:
Full tuition fees Monthly living stipend Round-trip airfare Health insurance Fields supported include economics, public policy, agriculture, environment, health, education and urban development.
Experience & Qualifications:
Citizen of a developing country eligible under JJ/WBGSP (Malawi is eligible) Bachelor's degree with strong academic record Minimum 3 years of relevant professional development experience Must be under 45 years of age Must not be a current World Bank Group employee or close relative Strong English language proficiency.
