Thursday, May 28, 2026Customers of National Bank of Malawi can now self-register for the Mo626 Digital+ mobile banking application without visiting a bank branch. The process can be completed directly through the mobile app using personal and banking details.
To register, users must first download the Mo626 Digital+ app and select the registration option. The system requires details such as a phone number, bank account number, and National ID number. After submission, users receive an M-PIN via SMS, which is used to create a personal PIN. A T-PIN is then sent through SMS or email for additional setup and verification.
The process also includes answering security questions before the account is fully activated. This self-registration method helps customers avoid long queues at physical bank branches and allows easier access to mobile banking services from anywhere.
Users are advised to ensure their phone number is linked to their bank account and to keep all PINs private for security purposes.
