Tuesday, June 9, 2026New Funding Opportunity – Global Solidarity Fund Launched
The Scottish Government’s new Global Solidarity Fund (GSF) has been launched, with applications now open for small Scottish-based organisations, community groups and diaspora-led initiatives involved in international development and global citizenship work.
Designed to be accessible and supportive, particularly for organisations new to government funding, the GSF offers grants of up to £50,000 across three funding streams for:
1-Scottish Civil Society Organisation (CSO) Strengthening Grant. 2-Global Citizenship Engagement Grant. 3-Shifting the Power Grant: Partnership-based work with -organisations in Malawi, Rwanda and Zambia.
An information webinar by NIRAS ( GSF Manager) will be held on 23 June to provide an overview of the fund, explain eligibility criteria and application requirements, and offer guidance on using the Flexi Grant platform.
Applications close on 10 August 2026.
