Saturday, April 18, 2026Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc, a leading sugar producer and part of Illovo Sugar Africa Group (ABF), is inviting applications for the position of Maintenance Coordinator. ๐ Location: Limbe, Malawi ๐ Job Type: Contractor ๐ Reporting To: Administration Manager Role Summary The Maintenance Coordinator will oversee planning, coordination, and supervision of maintenance activities for offices and residential properties, ensuring quality execution, compliance, and efficiency in operations. Key Responsibilities Plan and manage maintenance schedules and repairs for buildings and facilities Maintain and update asset registers and maintenance documentation Coordinate daily maintenance activities and preventive maintenance programs Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution Prepare procurement documents (PRs and POs) in line with company procedures Conduct site inspections and report progress to management Support preparation of project reports and internal presentations Ensure quality control through inspections and checklists Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on all sites Comply with company policies including SHERQ, anti-bribery, and competition regulations Requirements Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field (Mechanical/Electrical/Construction trades also considered) Experience in maintenance planning, facilities management, or contractor supervision Strong leadership and communication skills Good planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable Application Process Send application letter, CV, certified copies of certificates, National ID, and traceable referees to: The Human Resource Director Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc Private Bag 580, Limbe OR ๐ง MWcorporatehr@illovo.co.za โณ Closing Date: 30 April 2026 Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
