🚗 DRIVER — COTTON COUNCIL OF MALAWI (CCM)

ABOUT CCM
Cotton Council of Malawi (CCM) was established by the Cotton Act of 2013, with the mandate to regulate, develop, and improve the cotton industry in Malawi. Its vision is to become a progressive regulator effectively contributing to the development of a sustainable cotton industry, with a mission to grow the cotton industry through standards and regulations, fair trade practices, sustainable innovation, information sharing, and a competent, committed workforce.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To drive the Council's vehicles in transporting CCM staff, visitors, documents, and goods in accordance with CCM policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
👉 Ensuring vehicles are kept clean at all times
👉 Transporting members of staff and visitors as assigned
👉 Delivering mail and packages to/from various stakeholders, including loading and offloading official items/goods
👉 Attending to minor vehicle faults and reporting them
👉 Reporting vehicle accidents to police and relevant authorities
👉 Carrying out routine checks on motor vehicle condition
👉 Checking and advising on vehicle roadworthiness and insurance validation
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
👉 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
👉 Valid Driving Licence with P and/or G categories
👉 A minimum of five years' driving experience
SKILLS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
👉 Basic knowledge of motor vehicles
👉 Good interpersonal skills
👉 Ability to work under pressure and during odd hours
👉 Ability to function in a team
👉 Must not exceed 40 years of age
