🚗 DRIVER (GRADE RA11) — ROADS AUTHORITY (RA)

📍 Location: Head Office (Lilongwe), Regional Office Centre (Lilongwe), and Regional Office South (Blantyre) — 5 positions

ABOUT THE ROADS AUTHORITY
The Roads Authority (RA) was created by the Roads Act No. 3 of 2006 to ensure that public roads are constructed, maintained, or rehabilitated at all times, and to advise the Minister (and where appropriate, the Minister responsible for Local Government) on the preparation and efficient, effective implementation of the Annual National Roads Programme.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Roads Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians to fill five vacant Driver positions, tenable at Head Office in Lilongwe, Regional Office Centre in Lilongwe, and Regional Office South in Blantyre. The Driver's role is to transport RA staff, parcels, and goods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Driver reports to the Corporate Services Supervisor and is specifically responsible for:
👉 Driving staff on official duties
👉 Collecting and delivering company goods, equipment, and mail
👉 Checking the vehicle and carrying out minor maintenance to ensure roadworthy condition
👉 Updating the log book on a daily basis
👉 Checking validity of vehicle documents such as COF and Insurance, and reporting for timely renewal
👉 Reporting needs for service or major faults
👉 Ensuring the vehicle is clean

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
👉 Malawi School Certificate of Education and a valid Driving Licence with a good track record
👉 At least 3 years' working experience in a reputable organization
👉 Ability to work in a team environment
👉 Ability to follow oral and written instructions
