🏥 MWAIWATHU PRIVATE HOSPITAL IS HIRING POSITION: PATIENT ATTENDANT

📍 LOCATION: Blantyre
🏥 WORK STATION: Mwaiwathu Private Hospital, along Chileka Road

📌 POSITION CONTEXT

Mwaiwathu Private Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Patient Attendant.

Reporting to the Nursing and Midwifery Unit Manager, the Patient Attendant will provide basic assistance to patients to maintain their safety and care.

🩺 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with bed baths, pressure area care and bedmaking.
• Clean and disinfect linen, equipment and instruments.
• Assist with and maintain general cleanliness of the unit.
• Participate in ward linen management and inventory.
• Assist in feeding patients.
• Assist in wound dressing.
• Ensure that basic nursing interventions are reported and documented.
• Assist in wheeling patients to and from radiology and wards.

🎓 EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Must have a good Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
• A Certificate in Customer Care/Service will be an added advantage.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a hospital environment.

💡 KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & SKILLS

• Good command of English and fluency in other Malawian local languages.
• Self-starter, proactive and honest.
• Willingness to work odd hours.
• Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
