Press Trust, a Malawian charitable institution involved in commercial investments and socio-economic development programmes, is inviting applications for the position of Operations Officer.

šŸ”‘ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:
Research viable investment opportunities aligned with national priorities.
Assist in developing investment strategies, plans, policies and budgets.
Appraise investment proposals by analysing their technical, economic and financial aspects.
Prepare recommendations for management and the Board of Trustees.
Analyse investment reports and provide recommendations.
Develop financial models for testing different investment scenarios.
Assist with implementation and monitoring of approved commercial investment projects.
Prepare regular investment progress reports.
Assist in managing the Trust's socio-development projects.
Support the recruitment of investment advisors.
Perform other duties assigned by management.

šŸŽ“ QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Applicants must have:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business from an accredited tertiary institution.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in commercial investments, project financing and/or corporate financing.
An advantage:
Studying towards CFA certification or a related investment qualification.

Strong understanding of Malawi's economic sectors.
Knowledge of international investment portfolios.
Strong analytical and financial skills.
Negotiation and communication skills.
