The Climate Change Analysts will contribute to a broad range of GHG verification, climate change and sustainability projects.

The roles will provide opportunities to work on technical analysis, reporting, climate policy research and other initiatives supporting clients in addressing climate and environmental challenges.

The Opportunity
The positions may also involve supervised visits to remote sites, policy and protocol development, environmental reporting and compliance advice, life cycle assessment, and other climate and sustainability-related assignments.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be expected to:

Support GHG verification and reporting projects.
Complete engineering recalculations and related technical assessments.
Assist with the preparation of technical reports.
Conduct climate policy and regulatory research.
Contribute to policy and protocol development.
Support environmental reporting and compliance activities.
Assist with life cycle assessment projects.
Participate in climate, carbon and sustainability initiatives.
Undertake supervised site visits and fieldwork where required.
Collaborate with colleagues across different locations, sectors and project teams.
Contribute to other climate change and sustainability projects as required.

Employment Details
The Climate Change Analyst positions are:

Employment type: Full-time, permanent
Number of positions: 2
Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Target start: Fall 2026
Working hours: 40 hours per week
Work arrangement: Calgary office with significant remote collaboration across Canada
Travel: Occasional travel and fieldwork within Canada may be required
Salary: CAD $70,000–$80,000 per year, commensurate with experience
Brightspot Climate provides flexible daily start and end times. Overtime is rare and is generally accumulated as banked time that can be used for additional time off.

Successful candidates should also be comfortable using Microsoft Teams extensively to collaborate with colleagues working from different locations across Canada.
