Role Overview

As Finance Associate, you will strengthen UNICEF Malawi's financial accountability and operational efficiency by providing high-quality finance and accounting support. You will deliver accurate financial information, analysis, and services; collaborate with stakeholders on financial procedures; maintain audit-ready records; and contribute to process improvements that safeguard resources and support better outcomes for children.

Requirements

•Secondary Education completion (minimum)
•At least 6 years of relevant work experience in Financial Management, Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Budgeting, Treasury, Expense Management, Financial Compliance, or Financial Analysis
•Strong knowledge of reconciliations, financial reporting, and transaction processing with compliance expertise
•Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend solutions
•Experience with cost estimates, year-end accounts, and audit documentation
•Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP), financial management applications, Microsoft Excel, and digital tools
•Strong communication, interpersonal, and client-service skills
•Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
•Fluency in English (required)
