The Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) oversees projects related to digital policies, capacity building, and inclusive access, with a focus on environmental sustainability under the Climate Change and Emergency Telecommunications Division.

Key Responsibilities
Organize and facilitate workshops to enhance the capacity of ICT regulators and stakeholders in environmental data collection and reporting
Draft and prepare digital net-zero transition plans aligned with national climate goals
Support the maintenance of a data visualization dashboard to track the digital sector’s climate footprint
Conduct national assessments to identify capacity building needs and current data frameworks
Research digital sector GHG emissions, energy use, and climate commitments to support monitoring and policy development
Lead the preparation of online learning content on green digital transformation for the ITU Academy
Organize stakeholder meetings, support project team coordination, and monitor project progress through regular online meetings
Prepare mission reports and summaries for related travel and activities
Deliverables
Updated and functional data visualization dashboard for climate footprint tracking
Organized workshops and stakeholder consultation sessions (online, hybrid, or in-person)
Draft digital net-zero transition plans aligned with national priorities
Research reports on GHG emissions, energy use, and climate resilience of digital infrastructure
Educational materials for online training modules on green ICT strategies
Mission and activity reports detailing project progress and findings

Remuneration
Daily rate between USD 185 and USD 360, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
