BCC supports emerging leaders in developing sustainable, cross-sectoral approaches to environmental injustice, promoting resilience and community empowerment worldwide.

Role Overview
The Lead Events Coordinator will be instrumental in shaping and executing BCC’s events strategy, connecting global stakeholders through webinars, workshops, panels, and in-person gatherings when possible.
This remote, volunteer role offers a unique chance to contribute to climate justice initiatives and engage with a vibrant community of advocates and practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy and Leadership
Lead planning and delivery of webinars, workshops, panels, and community events
Manage the events calendar, coordinating BCC activities and external engagements
Develop concept notes, proposals, and briefs for upcoming events
Liaise with external partners, speakers, and facilitators
Oversee logistical arrangements, including travel support for in-person events
Represent BCC at international forums and conferences
Coordinate virtual platform setup and management (Zoom, registration)

Outreach and Promotion
Create and oversee promotional content, including flyers and registration materials
Collaborate with BCC’s communications team to ensure consistent messaging
Promote accessibility and inclusivity in event planning
Community Engagement
Build and strengthen relationships with BCC’s network and partners
Support event moderation and participant engagement
Gather feedback to improve future programming

Evaluation and Team Support
Lead post-event evaluations and compile reports
Document lessons learned and contribute to organizational knowledge
Work closely with team members to align events with organizational goals.
