ABOUT THE ROLE

ELMAC Security Services is looking for a Human Resources Officer (HRO) to strengthen its Human Resources department at the Head Office in Blantyre.

The role focuses on disciplinary procedures, labour relations, staff engagement, workers’ compensation claims, and compliance with Malawi’s employment legislation and company policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee recruitment, orientation, and employee development activities.
• Handle disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Manage labour relations matters, including representing the company in employment disputes.
• Support initiatives that improve staff engagement and well-being.
• Administer workers’ compensation claims and related procedures.
• Develop and recommend improvements to HR policies and procedures.
• Advise management on HR policies, industry standards, and statutory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of HR experience, including a minimum of 3 years in disciplinary and industrial relations work.
• Strong understanding of Malawi’s labour legislation and HR industry standards.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
