A.S. Hornby Educational Trust Scholarship — University of Exeter (2027/28)

The Hornby Educational Trust prioritises capacity building for English language teaching in low- and middle-income countries. It awards Master's degree scholarships to teachers and related professionals with relevant experience and evidenced potential to impact and enhance English language teaching and learning in their home country.
Up to 10 fully funded scholarships are available for the MEd TESOL Programme, University of Exeter, for September 2027 entry. This scholarship is only available for the MEd TESOL programme — not for PGCert or PGDip programmes.
Entry Requirements:
Must be a resident of, and work in, a country classified as Least Developed, Low Income, Lower Middle Income, or Upper Middle Income according to the OECD DAC list
Minimum of 3 years' full-time TESOL teaching or related professional experience after first degree
Must hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent (UK upper 2nd class honours or higher), or a relevant postgraduate degree
Must NOT already hold a doctoral degree in TESOL, applied linguistics, English, or a related area
Must NOT already hold a master's degree in TESOL, applied linguistics, English, or a related area from a UK university
