The Rotary Foundation awards up to 170 fully funded fellowships annually. The fellowship covers: ✅ Tuition and fees ✅ Housing and meals ✅ Round-trip transportation ✅ Internship and field-study expenses
Why Join? Since 2002, the Rotary Peace Centers have trained over 1,800 leaders from more than 140 countries, preparing them to serve as catalysts for peace and development.
Rotary Peace Fellows become part of a global network of leaders committed to peace, justice, and development. The program emphasizes practical skills, leadership, and impactful social change.
The fellowships aim to develop peace and development professionals through academic training, practical experience, and global networking opportunities.
Fellows work across government, NGOs, research institutions, peacekeeping agencies, and international organizations like the UN and World Bank.
About the Rotary Peace Fellowships Master’s Degree Programs: Duration: 15-24 months, including a 2-3 month self-designed field study. Focus: Peace and development issues with research-informed teaching at top universities.
Professional Development Certificate Program: Duration: One year (blended learning). Focus: Practical skills for peacebuilding, including a social change initiative and field studies.
Eligibility & Criteria Ideal Candidates: Leaders with work experience in peace and development, committed to community and international service.
Eligibility Restrictions:
Not active Rotary or Rotaract members (unless Rotaract is not also Rotary). Not employees of Rotary entities. Not spouses, descendants, or ancestors of Rotary members. Candidates must have at least three years between most recent academic degree and the start of the fellowship. Current students are not eligible.
Selection Process: Applications are screened for eligibility, then reviewed by Rotary and university committees. Finalists may be interviewed. Candidates are notified in November 2026.

Application Timeline Open Now: The 2027-28 Rotary Peace Fellowship application is open until 15 May 2026. Notification: Successful candidates will be notified in November 2026. Application Steps Review eligibility and experience guides. Research the curriculum at each Rotary Peace Center. Engage with your local Rotary or Rotaract club for mentorship and support. Prepare your documents: resume, recommendations, personal statement, transcripts, English test scores (if applicable), and social impact plan (for certificate program).
