Malawi 2063 Vision: An Inclusively Wealthy and Self-Reliant Nation

Malawi Vision 2063 (MW2063) is the country's long-term development blueprint launched on January 19, 2021. It aims to transform Malawi into an inclusively wealthy and self-reliant, industrialized upper-middle-income nation by 2063. The vision is built on three pillars: Agricultural Productivity and Commercialization, Industrialization, and Urbanization. These are supported by seven enablers, including Mindset Change, Effective Governance, and Human Capital Development. Implementation is managed through 10-year plans, the first being MIP-1 (2021–2030), which targets reaching lower-middle-income status and meeting most SDGs by 2030.
