Location: Karonga District Hospital Paying Department

Karonga District Council invites applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals to fill the position of Accounts Assistant (Grade M).
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of financial records Processing payments and receipts in accordance with Government procedures Supporting budget preparation and monitoring Assisting in the preparation of financal records Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies Supporting internal and external audit processes Performing any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with credit in Mathematics and English Should have a certificate in accounting Knowledge of government financial systems such as IFMIS will be an added advantage At least 2 years relevant work experience Strong analytical and numerical skills Good communication and interpersonal skills High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Key Competencies
Attention to detail Ability to work with minimal supervision Good organizational skills Computer literacy (Microsoft Office applications).
