Committed to methane mitigation, Global Methane Hub is seeking a Communications Associate to join the team as maternity cover!
Job Title: Communications Associate (Maternity Cover) Location: Globally remote, with a preference for CST +/- 4 hours Closing Date: Monday 27th April, 9:00 am CET Contract: Full-time, maternity cover from June 2026 to January 2027 Salary: $57,000 – $72,000 USD per year From June 2026 to January 2027, a communications expert will support GMH’s Communications Team.
The role involves project management and coordination, managing GMH’s social media presence, creating compelling content, and collaborating across teams to enhance communication strategies.
The position is remote, with a preference for candidates in the CST +/- 4 hours time zone.
About Global Methane Hub The Global Methane Hub (GMH) is the first coordinated philanthropic effort dedicated to funding methane mitigation across energy, agricultural, and waste sectors.

Purpose of the Role The Communications Associate will provide project management and coordination support to GMH’s communications functions.
Reporting to the Communications Lead, the role involves managing social media, supporting campaign planning, creating narratives, and working with internal and external stakeholders to promote GMH’s mission.
Key Responsibilities Project Management and Grant Support Assist in planning and executing communications campaigns and initiatives Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication. Collaborate with program teams to develop impact narratives and case studies Prepare materials for donor communication, aligning with organizational goals. Organize team meetings, agendas, and document notes for internal communication Maintain digital filing systems for content and assets. Support planning and organization of virtual and in-person events and media engagements Assist with grant-related content review, docket preparation, and compliance Media Relations Support. Maintain and update media contact lists and databases. Prepare press kits and media materials for outreach efforts. Track media coverage and compile weekly press clips and impact reports. Monitor media trends relevant to GMH’s communication goals. Digital Content Management & Audience Engagement. Edit and post digital content across websites, social media, newsletters, and blogs Analyze content performance, providing reports and insights for improvement. Cultivate relationships with online communities, influencers, and media partners Respond to inquiries and comments on digital platforms to foster engagement. Monitor social media trends and propose innovative content strategies. Ensure social media reflects GMH’s mission and goals.
Additional Tasks Monitor project budgets and prepare expense reports. Perform miscellaneous duties as needed.
Terms and Conditions Salary: $57K – $72K USD, location-based differential applies
This is a full-time remote role requiring flexibility for collaboration across time zones
Travel: Up to 10% domestically or internationally
