The Centre for Social Accountability and Transparency (CSAT) has embarked on the implementation of its new Strategic Plan (2025-2030). In response to the organisation’s evolving needs and growing demands, CSAT is inviting applications from suitably qualified and passionate individuals to fill newly created positions aimed at strengthening the delivery of its mission and strategic objectives.

Position Title: Finance and Compliance Manager (Grade GS 3)
Reports to: Executive Director
Duty Station: Lilongwe
Purpose
Ensure sound financial management, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with donor, statutory, and organizational financial requirements.
Strengthen internal controls, financial systems, and risk management.
Coordinate audits and implement audit recommendations.
Oversee cash flow, procurement compliance, grants, and asset management.
Prepare financial reports for management, the Board, and donors.
Support organizational planning, budget development, and policy compliance.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in financial management, accounting, grants management, and compliance, including at least three (3) years in a senior management role.
Proven experience managing donor-funded projects and donor compliance requirements.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting, financial analysis, internal controls, risk management, procurement oversight, audits, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel; NGO/development sector experience is an added advantage.
