Position: Director of Corporate Services Employment Type: Full-Time Executive Role Duty Station: Lilongwe, Malawi About NOCMA The National Oil Company of Malawi (NOCMA) is a Government-owned enterprise mandated to ensure national fuel security through the importation and management of petroleum products, as well as the oversight of Strategic Fuel Reserves across the country. Position Overview NOCMA is inviting applications from highly qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Director of Corporate Services. The role provides strategic leadership over key corporate support functions and ensures strong governance, operational efficiency, and compliance across the organisation. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will provide executive oversight in the following areas: Corporate Governance & Legal Services: Ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting the Board as Company Secretary, and managing legal and contractual matters Human Resources & Administration: Leading HR strategy, workforce planning, performance management, and administrative systems ICT & Digital Systems: Providing direction on ICT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation: Overseeing strategic planning, performance tracking, and reporting systems Research & Innovation: Promoting continuous improvement and institutional development through research and benchmarking Corporate Communications & Stakeholder Engagement: Managing internal and external communications and safeguarding corporate reputation Budgeting & Resource Management: Coordinating planning and budgeting processes to ensure efficient use of resources Minimum Qualifications & Experience Master’s Degree in Law, Business Administration, Management, or related field Bachelor’s Degree in Law Must be a registered and paid-up member of the Malawi Law Society At least 10 years of relevant experience in legal and corporate management Minimum of 5 years in a senior management or executive-level position Experience in company secretarial duties within a regulated organisation is an added advantage Key Competencies Strong leadership and strategic management capabilities Expertise in corporate governance, compliance, and risk management Knowledge of HR systems, ICT strategy, and organisational development High-level stakeholder engagement and communication skills Integrity, professionalism, and sound ethical judgment Contract Terms This is a three (3) year performance-based contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance. An attractive executive remuneration package will be offered in line with qualifications and experience.
