Quality Standards

Verify information before submitting. Include source links where possible. If you're unsure about details, indicate what is confirmed vs. unconfirmed.

Be Complete

Include all relevant details: deadlines, requirements, contact information, locations, and how to apply or participate.

Stay Current

Only submit current, relevant information. Check that deadlines haven't passed and opportunities are still available.

Be Clear

Write in clear, simple language. Avoid jargon. Make information accessible to all Malawians regardless of education level.

What Will Be Rejected

  • Unverified or rumored information without credible sources

  • Duplicate submissions of existing content
  • Spam, advertisements, or promotional content without value
  • Political propaganda or partisan content
  • Personal attacks, hate speech, or discriminatory content
  • Scams, fraud schemes, or "get rich quick" opportunities
  • Content that violates copyright or intellectual property
  • Personal information of others without their consent
  • Misleading job posts or fake scholarship offers

  • - Link to official posting or organization website

Scholarships & Education

  • - Specify level of study (undergraduate, masters, PhD)
  • - Include eligibility requirements clearly
  • - List what the scholarship covers (tuition, living, travel)
  • - Provide application deadline and process
  • - Link to official scholarship page

Events

  • - Include exact date, time, and venue
  • - Specify if registration is required and how
  • - Note any entry fees or costs
  • - Describe what attendees can expect
  • - Include contact for inquiries

News & Announcements

  • - Cite credible sources for all claims
  • - Distinguish between facts and opinions
  • - Provide context and background where helpful
  • - Update if situation changes
  • - Avoid sensationalism or clickbait

Enforcement

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

  • First violation: Submission rejected with feedback
  • Repeated violations: Reduced priority in moderation queue
  • Serious violations: Temporary account suspension
  • Severe or intentional violations: Permanent account ban
