By creating a contributor account on Mthandizi, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our contributor services.

Mthandizi reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

2. Contributor Account

To submit information to Mthandizi, you must create a contributor account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful registration information
• Verify your email address
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3. Content Submissions

When you submit content to Mthandizi (including but not limited to jobs, events, scholarships, news tips, and other information), you represent and warrant that:

• The information is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge
• You have the right to submit this information
• The content does not violate any applicable laws or regulations
• The content does not infringe on any third party's rights
• The content complies with our Community Guidelines

4. License Grant

By submitting content to Mthandizi, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display your content in connection with our services. This includes:

• Displaying your submissions on our website and applications
• Including your content in our information services
• Editing or formatting content for clarity and consistency
• Sharing content through our chatbot and other distribution channels
• Archiving content for historical reference

You retain ownership of your original content. This license allows us to operate and improve our services for the benefit of all Malawians.

5. Content Moderation

All submissions are subject to review before publication. Mthandizi reserves the right to:

• Approve, reject, or request modifications to any submission
• Edit content for accuracy, clarity, or formatting
• Remove previously published content that violates our terms
• Prioritize submissions based on relevance, timeliness, and quality

We aim to review submissions promptly, but do not guarantee any specific timeline for approval.

6. Prohibited Content

You may not submit content that:

• Promotes illegal activities or violates Malawian law
• Contains hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
• Infringes on intellectual property rights

7. Account Termination

Mthandizi may suspend or terminate your contributor account at any time for:

• Repeated submission of rejected or low-quality content

• Harassment of staff or other contributors
• Any conduct we deem harmful to the platform or community

You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your submitted content may remain on the platform unless you request its removal.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Mthandizi is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy or completeness of information on our platform
• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• That your submissions will be approved or published
• Any specific outcomes from information shared on our platform

9. Limitation of Liability

Mthandizi shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use our services
• Any errors or inaccuracies in submitted content
• Actions taken based on information from our platform
• Unauthorized access to your account

10. Indemnification

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Malawi. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malawi.
