Contributor Terms

Effective date: 10 June 2026

These Contributor Terms supplement the main Mthandizi Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and the Community Guidelines. If these terms conflict with the main Terms, the main Terms apply unless this document clearly states a contributor-specific rule.

1. Contributor responsibilities

  • Submit information that is accurate, current, relevant, and reasonably verified;
  • Identify and link the original source where one exists;
  • Preserve important deadlines, eligibility requirements, contacts, and application instructions;
  • Only submit content you own, are licensed to use, or may lawfully report or summarize;
  • Do not submit plagiarism, unauthorized copies, spam, scams, duplicates, or deliberately misleading information;
  • Avoid unnecessary personal, sensitive, or confidential information; and
  • Promptly correct or report a submission that later proves inaccurate or outdated.

2. Review and publication

Mthandizi may check, edit, format, summarize, request changes to, reject, publish, unpublish, archive, or remove a submission. Approval and publication are not guaranteed. Trusted or automated workflows may publish some information before manual review, but all content remains subject to later moderation and correction.

3. Ownership and public-content licence

You retain ownership of your original work. For a submission intended for public or community publication, you grant Mthandizi a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to review, reproduce, edit, format, adapt, translate, summarize, publish, distribute, display, archive, index, embed, and include it in Mthandizi search and AI-generated information services.

This licence applies only to content submitted for publication. It does not apply to your private messages, payout information, CVs, applications, verification documents, or other private account files.

4. Credits, earnings, and payouts

Contributor participation is not employment, partnership, agency, equity ownership, or a guarantee of payment. Credits, performance figures, and estimated earnings are not withdrawable cash unless an amount is allocated to your earnings ledger under an approved funded pool or another confirmed programme.

  • Eligibility requirements, calculation methods, funded pools, minimum withdrawals, and schedules are shown in the contributor dashboard;
  • Different programmes or funding periods may use different rates and quality or performance criteria;
  • Payouts may require verified payout details and fraud, identity, tax, or payment-provider checks;
  • Material rule changes will be communicated before they take effect; and
  • Confirmed ledger earnings may be corrected or withheld only for a lawful reason, error, fraud, chargeback, duplicate content, or policy violation.

5. Privacy and other people's information

Do not include private personal information about another person unless it is necessary, accurate, and you have a lawful reason to disclose it. Public contact details contained in an official opportunity notice may be reproduced only for the purpose for which they were published. Do not reuse applicant, customer, or platform-user information for marketing, resale, or unrelated contact.

6. Removal, account closure, and enforcement

We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate contributor access for repeated low-quality submissions, plagiarism, fraud, data misuse, harassment, or other material policy violations. Account closure does not automatically require immediate deletion of every published contribution. Public content may be removed, anonymised, or retained for public-information integrity, attribution, moderation history, legal obligations, or payment and copyright disputes.

7. Changes and contact

Material changes receive a new effective date and may require contributor re-acceptance. Questions can be sent to support@mthandizi.com.
