Assistant Accountant (Revenue)

The Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) is recruiting an Assistant Accountant in the Revenue section to support the Finance and Administration Department. The role is tenable at MBS Head Office in Blantyre and involves maintaining accurate revenue books of accounts, processing receipts and supporting financial reporting functions. Key responsibilities include: Record and maintain revenue accounts and receipts in the Finance department Process revenue collections and issue receipts to clients for MBS services Prepare revenue reconciliation schedules and financial reports Monitor outstanding revenue and follow up on pending payments Prepare fuel issues and salary deduction schedules Secure accounts stationery and manage petty cash for revenue section Support preparation of quarterly and annual revenue financial statements Ensure compliance with MBS financial policies and procedures
