Communications Officer

The Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) is recruiting a Communications Officer to support the Bureau's internal and external communications functions. The role is tenable at MBS Head Office in Blantyre and involves informing and soliciting views from the Bureau's general public and various stakeholders on MBS programmes, services and activities. Key responsibilities include: Develop and produce communication materials including brochures, newsletters, factsheets and digital content Manage MBS social media platforms and website content updates Draft news articles, feature stories, press releases and opinion pieces Support media engagement and respond to press enquiries Coordinate public awareness campaigns on MBS standards and quality assurance programmes Document and report on communication activities and outcomes Support organisation of MBS events, exhibitions and stakeholder meetings
