Director of Finance

The Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) is recruiting a Director of Finance to ensure effective and efficient utilisation and accountability of financial resources, with the goal of driving the corporation toward financial self-sufficiency on a sustainable basis. This is a senior executive role tenable at MBC Head Office in Blantyre on a three-year employment contract. The successful candidate will be a seasoned finance professional with strong leadership credentials and a proven track record in financial management within a reputable public or private institution. Key responsibilities include: Develop and manage financial management and control systems for the corporation Consolidate the MBC budget and provide regular board reporting Prepare quarterly and annual management accounts Authorise payments and ensure financial compliance across all departments Enforce legal and corporate financial requirements Conduct performance appraisals and supervise finance department staff Provide secretarial services to the Finance and Audit Committee Drive the corporation toward sustainable financial self-sufficiency
