Editor (2 Posts, Grade M6) – Malawi Institute of Education (MIE), Domasi, Zomba

The Malawi Institute of Education (MIE) is a semi‑subvented government parastatal mandated to design curricula, conduct educational research, and provide professional development. MIE invites applications for 2 Editor (Grade M6) positions reporting to the Chief Editor, based at Domasi in Zomba District. Purpose of the job: To edit and ensure that documents produced by MIE meet required standards and quality. Key duties and responsibilities: · Develop and maintain a house style manual and manuscript specifications · Edit educational and other materials · Monitor and evaluate the editing process · Train staff and stakeholders in editorial skills · Provide advice on editorial matters · Prepare regular reports · Support resource mobilisation initiatives · Undertake any other duties as assigned by management Qualifications & requirements: · Master’s Degree in Language Education, Linguistics, Communication or a related field plus at least two (2) years’ relevant experience · At least five (5) years’ experience teaching language at primary, secondary or teacher training college level · Experience in authoring instructional materials will be an advantage · Ability to work under pressure and outside normal working hours Application deadline: 23 June 2026 How to apply: Submit applications, including copies of relevant certificates and a detailed CV with three traceable referees, clearly marked with the position being applied for, to: The Executive Director, Malawi Institute of Education, P.O.
