Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc WE’RE HIRING Position: Financial Planner Org Unit: Finance Reporting: Finance Business Partner Location: Dwangwa Job Category: Fixed-Term Contract (2 years) About Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc is the country’s leading producer of raw, refined and specialty sugars; employing more than 9,000 employees. It is part of Illovo Sugar Africa Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Associated British Foods plc (ABF). Duties and Responsibilities Prepare accurate, timely and insightful management reporting in a standardised format (monthly, quarterly, annually). Prepare cost dashboards to track costs and financial KPIs. Attend monthly meetings with budget holders to ensure costs are controlled. Review phasing of budgets versus actual expenditure and assist with queries. Liaise with budget holders regarding estimates and variances, supporting corrective actions. Prepare and distribute cost reports, interrogate key costs to transaction level, rationalise postings, and identify efficiencies. Adhere to Illovo’s procedures, policies and guidelines, including SHERQ, Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC). Job Requirements Bachelor’s Degree (Accountancy, Business Administration, or equivalent with applied skills level passed for ACCA or CIMA). Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Finance environment. Strong business analysis skills to generate insight and measurable value. Exceptional accounting and reporting skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
