Public Relations Officer

The Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) is a statutory organization established in 1972 by an Act of Parliament with a mandate to promote standardization of commodities and their manufacture, production, processing or treatment, and to provide for the verification and calibration of weighing and measuring instruments. MBS is recruiting a Public Relations Officer to manage and strengthen the Bureau's public image, stakeholder engagement, and corporate communications. The role is tenable at MBS Head Office in Blantyre. College Board Key responsibilities include: Develop and implement PR strategies to enhance MBS's public image and brand visibility Manage relationships with media, government, industry partners and the general public Draft and disseminate press releases, speeches, newsletters and corporate publications Organise press conferences, exhibitions, trade fairs and public awareness events Respond to public and media enquiries on behalf of MBS Monitor media coverage and produce regular communication reports Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities and manage feedback mechanisms
