WORKSHOP FOREMAN (VEHICLES) Duty Station: Mzuzu Reporting to: Head of Engineering Role Summary The Workshop Foreman (Vehicles) will be responsible for the supervision, coordination, and control of all vehicle maintenance and repair activities to ensure the availability, reliability, and safe operation of the company fleet. The role focuses on effective workshop management, adherence to maintenance standards, and efficient utilization of resources to support business operations. The position involves supervising vehicle mechanics, planning and allocating vehicle repair and servicing work, inspecting completed jobs, and enforcing safety and housekeeping standards within the vehicle workshop. The successful candidate will play a key role in minimising vehicle downtime, improving maintenance quality, controlling maintenance costs, and ensuring compliance with engineering, safety, and statutory requirements. Key Requirements Diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in Heavy Duty Vehicle maintenance, with supervisory responsibility. Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and workshop practices Proven leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills Good understanding of road safety, workshop safety, and fleet maintenance standards No criminal record.
