POSITION: SUBSTATION ELECTRICIANS

OVERVIEW ESCOM Ltd invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions within the organization.

Substation Electricians Grade: ES9

Location: Various Reports To: Substation Technician Purpose of the Job To carry out maintenance of high-voltage transformers and auxiliary equipment to ensure reliable power supply within the region. Key Responsibilities Perform installation of high-voltage equipment. Maintain substation facilities and systems. Comply with safety standards and procedures. Conduct routine inspections and fault reporting. Carry out maintenance activities as assigned. Attributes and Competencies Effective verbal and written communication skills. Physically fit. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Minimum Qualifications and Experience Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) plus a relevant technical certificate. Practical experience in power systems is an advantage
